Terms for the public-preview service at tengengo.app.
The service
TengenGo provides Go play, analysis and practice tools. It is currently a free public preview. Features and availability can change as the project develops. There is no guaranteed uptime, tournament service or promised improvement in rank. No paid subscription is created by opening an account.
Normal play uses the published Chinese-area rule profile. Experimental modes, search estimates and optional language-model explanations have their own limits. Check an estimate or explanation before relying on it in study.
Your account and content
Keep your sign-in credentials secure. Use only accounts and model-provider keys you are authorised to use. Choose a non-sensitive username and avoid uploading confidential information. Import or share game records only where you have the right to do so. You retain your rights in your content; you permit the processing needed to provide the requested play, storage, analysis and sharing features.
Use the service only where you can lawfully accept these terms. If a parent or guardian's permission is required, obtain it before creating an account.
Fair play and acceptable use
- Do not disrupt the service, bypass resource limits, probe other people's private data or use stolen credentials.
- Do not upload unlawful material, harass others or impersonate another person.
- Do not use engine help to cheat in a game where assistance is prohibited. TengenGo disables its engine help during its active games between accounts.
- Respect the applicable terms of Online-Go.com and any model provider you choose.
Optional providers and resource limits
OGS sign-in is optional and does not turn TengenGo into an OGS game client. Model explanations are optional and use the provider you configure. That provider may charge you separately. The hosted service limits simultaneous engine work, review requests, connections and unfinished games to share a small server fairly. A profile's name does not guarantee a particular playing rank or unrestricted KataGo strength.
Availability and account restrictions
The operator may interrupt access for maintenance, security, capacity or necessary service changes. Accounts involved in misuse can be restricted or disabled. Contact [email protected] if you believe a restriction is mistaken. Export important game records yourself rather than treating the preview as your only archive.
Privacy and ending use
The privacy notice explains stored data, providers, retention and your rights. You can stop using the service and request account deletion by email. Deletion can remove games shared with opponents; backup copies can remain until their retention period expires.
Responsibility and applicable law
The service provides educational game tools, not a guarantee of correct analysis or uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Czech law applies subject to the mandatory protections available to you under applicable law; these terms do not require you to give up a legally protected consumer forum.
